TRAINING more than 10 hours a week has paid off for the girls from the Logan City Skate Around Club who came back from competing at the Australian Artistic Skating Championships in Sydney with a barrage of medals around their necks.
Six skaters from the club made the long trip from Beenleigh to Sydney in June with the club receiving four gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze.
Coach Anita Lloyd-Jones said she was extremely proud of all the girls' efforts.
"We came back with 10 medals from 12 skates," Ms Lloyd-Jones said.
"I am so proud of them because they have worked hard all year.
"In January, they all set goals of what they wanted to achieve and I think all of those goals were definitely met."
The girls were required to perform both individual and team routines to impress the judges.
In addition, the club also had members selected to compete in the Oceania team which is held every year for professional skaters.
