Board Nominations Committee

The Skate Australia Board is seeking to appoint a Skate Australia member to its Board Nominations Committee.

The Nominations Committee assists and advises the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities on:

  • matters relating to the composition structure and composition of the Board

  • matters relating to senior executive selection and performance

  • policies relating to people, culture, conduct, remuneration, equity, diversity and inclusion.

 

The Nominations Committee is comprised of three persons, including an Independent Chair, Board Member or Board Member representative and Member Representative.

  • A current curriculum vitae of 1-2 pages

  • A letter (maximum 2 pages) highlighting how you meet the following criteria outlined in the position description:

    • Governance knowledge​

    • Not for profit industry experience

    • Collective decision making

    • People skills

  • Contact details of a referee who has knowledge of your skills, knowledge and experience.

We recommend completion of the Sport Australia Director Education Course, The Start Line.  A free, online course which provides foundational knowledge to enable new Board members to understand their duties and responsibilities, and make an effective contribution to their organisation’s Board. The course takes approximately two hours to complete.
