Dr. Phil Hamdorf  Chair

Phil is an accomplished sports administrator having held roles as Executive Director of the Office for Recreation and Sport (South Australian Government), Chief Executive Officer of the Australian College of Physical Education Ltd. and Executive Director – Sport Development and Executive Director - Sport and Recreation, both within the Office of Sport, New South Wales Government. Most recently through his consultancy company, Phil has provided a range of services to the sport sector across Australia.

Phil is an exercise physiologist with a doctorate that examined cardio-respiratory training amongst older women. He is a Life Member, Fellow and Past President of Exercise and Sports Science Australia, a Fellow and Past President of Sports Medicine Australia (SA Chapter) and a Churchill Fellow. 

Phil has extensive experience as a Board Director including the World Police and Fire Games Corporation, Australasian Masters Games, Trans-Tasman Netball League Corporation, 2015 Asian Cup, 2022 UCI World Road Cycling Championships and Muirfield Golf Club. He is currently President of Outdoors NSW & ACT, Chair of Skate Australia and Executive Chair of Disability Sports Australia.

Kathryn Davies  Director

Kathryn is a financial services industry professional with more than twenty years experience across three states at nab and Rural Bank. She has a track record of success
delivering large-scale effective development strategies and a ‘hands-on’ approach to governance, finance and transformation. Kathryn is a Fellow of FINSIA, Signatory of the Banking and Finance Oath, holds an MBA and is an accredited Organisational Coach. Currently residing with her family in Melbourne, Kathryn is originally from North Queensland and remains connected to many locations in regional and metropolitan Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.

Karen Doyle  Director

Karen joined the Board in 2015 and is a member of the Executive Board of World Skate as World Skate First Vice President and World Skate Oceania President. Karen is a Speed Official – Referee, recognised at State, National and Internationally by World Skate Speed Technical Committee with an International Judges Commission. She is the Chair of the Skate Australia Commissioned Speed Officials Committee and is active in all aspects of Skate Australia's operations for all sports. Karen is based in Brisbane.

Jo Banning Director

Jo has an extensive background working across sport both nationally and globally in communications and marketing roles from grassroots to the elite level. Her experience as a member of the Australian hockey team, attendance at the past four summer Olympic Games and consulting roles with several national high performance programs brings sound knowledge of high performance sport to the Board.  Jo lives in Sydney where she works at Surf Life Saving Australia as its Public Affairs Manager.

John Lane  Director

John has enjoyed a 40 year career in senior finance and management roles in retail, aged care and education, retiring from full time work as General Manager and CFO of Australia's largest independent carpet business. He has been involved in skate sports since 1962, has extensive coaching and officiating experience and and assisted the in management of two world championships. John was originally a competitive artistic skater and has held a wide range of roles at club, state and national level.  John lives with his wife on the Gold Coast and remains strongly committed to the future development of skate sports.

Tim McGrath  Director

Tim is a highly adaptable sports executive with experience in strategy, risk and engagement from grass roots to national organisations He has held leadership roles at Tennis Victoria for the past ten years, focused on growth, integrity and good governance, and previously led transformation projects at Little Athletics Australia and Athletics NSW. He is the independent Chair of the Hockey NSW Nominations Committee and was the youngest ever winner of the Athletics NSW Club Administrator of the Year award. Tim lives with his family in Melbourne.

Lyndelle Zuccolin  Director

Lyndelle has an accumulation of strategic skills that transcend traditional management portfolios. She is a former marketing, brand and consumer business executive, former CFO, and former IT, systems development and people and culture executive, with 20 years experience across sport, consumer business, professional services and not for profit organisations. Her passion for strategy and creative thinking led her to establish Just Add Colour Management Consulting which specialises in corporate strategy and advisory, helping organisations navigate the complexities of a changing business environment. Lyndelle lives in Victoria where she is also a Director of the Barwon Sports Academy.
