NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

SKATE AUSTRALIA LIMITED

MEETING TO BE HELD ONLINE VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS

 

Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Skate Australia Limited will be held as follows:

 

Date: Monday 26 October 2026
Time: 6:00 PM AEST (Queensland time)
Venue: Online via Microsoft Teams

A Microsoft Teams link will be distributed to registered attendees prior to the AGM.

​

Notice of Motions

​

In accordance with the Skate Australia Constitution, Voting Members were invited to submit motions for consideration at the AGM.

​

The deadline for motions was 28 September 2026.

​

No motions were received by the due date.

​

Election of Life Member

​

In accordance with the Skate Australia Constitution, the Board has nominated an individual for election as a Life Member of Skate Australia Limited.

​

Voting Members have been provided separately with information regarding the nominee's contribution and service to Skate Australia, including the proposed Special Resolution.

​

Voting Members will be asked to consider and vote on the Special Resolution at the AGM.

​

Election of Director

​

Nominations for the elected Director position closed on 28 September 2026.

​

There is one elected Director position, for a three-year term, to be determined by Voting Members at the AGM.

​

The Nominations Committee has assessed candidates in accordance with the Skate Australia Constitution and against the skills and experience identified as relevant to the Board.

​

Eligible candidates will be presented to Voting Members for consideration, with candidate biographies to be provided ahead of the AGM.

​

Voting Members have also been invited to attend an online candidate session ahead of the AGM.

​

Voting Members

​

In accordance with the Skate Australia Constitution, the following appointing agencies are each entitled to appoint a Voting Member and hold one (1) vote:

​

State/Territory Associations

• Skate New South Wales

• Skate Queensland

• Skate Western Australia

• Skate South Australia

 

Technical Committees

• Artistic Skating

• Speed Skating

• Roller Derby

• Skateboarding

• Inline Hockey

• Rink Hockey

 

Further information regarding Voting Member eligibility, responsibilities and composition is available in the Skate Australia Constitution.

A proxy form has been sent to Voting Members who are unable to attend the AGM. Completed proxy forms must be received no later than 6:00 PM AEST (Queensland time) on Saturday 24 October 2026, being 48 hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the AGM.

​

The FY26 Annual Report will be circulated to members prior to the AGM and published on the Skate Australia website.
