Become a Coach

Please contact Skate Australia for more information on your preferred discipline.

Our Coaching Framework is currently under review.

In the interim our recommendation is to sign-up to Sport Integrity Australia E-Learning and complete the free following courses;

  1. Anti-Doping Fundamentals (and Annual Update as required)

  2. Illicit Drugs in Sport

  3. National Integrity Framework

  4. Child Safeguarding in Sport Induction

  5. Safe and Effective Coaching of Young Athletes in High Performance Sport

  6. Competition Manipulation & Sports Gambling

  7. Safeguarding Recruitment & Screening (only if involved in recruitment)

As well as the Australian Sports Commission's course:

  1. Community Coaching Essential Skills

Additionally the following should be completed;

  • Hold a Working With Children Check

  • First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • A valid Skate Australia membership at coach level (which will bind you to our Skate Australia terms and conditions and the National Integrity Framework)

Once all of the above is complete and you can provide evidence of completion/active credentials, we can issue you an interim coaching credential (with minimal Public Liability/Professional Indemnity Insurance) as a Skate Sport Community Instructor for coaching beginner, non-competitive Skate sports participation.

Please email your credentials to admin@skateaustralia.org.au.
