Skate Australia has announced the national team set to compete at the upcoming World Skateboarding Tour – Street event in Kitakyushu, Japan, from 23 – 30 November 2025.
The event marks the second stop of the World Skateboarding Tour season and serves as a World Cup competition, offering valuable points toward the World Skateboarding Ranking.
In the Women’s Street division, Olympian Chloe Covell headlines the team following an incredible year that has seen her winning multiple gold medals including her first World Skate Tour gold at the WST Street World Cup in Rome in June, X Games Salt Lake City (Street & Best Trick) X Games Osaka, and Street League events in Cleveland and Santa Monica.
Joining her are experienced campaigners Liv Lovelace and Felicity Turner with Ella Ledingham making her 2nd appearance at this level and Cora Wilton making her World Skateboarding Tour debut.
Representing Australia in the Men’s Street division will be Tommy Fynn, Rome Collyer, Shane O’Neil, and Daniel Woolley—a strong lineup that combines international experience with emerging talent.
Skate Australia’s National Technical Lead, Shari Duffy, said the selection reflects both the strength and depth of Australian skateboarding talent heading into a key phase of international competition.
“We are really excited by the blend of experience and emerging talent in this team heading to Kitakyushu,” said Duffy. “This event is a great opportunity for our skaters to gain crucial ranking points in preparation for the Olympic Qualifying Period (expected to open in 2026) while testing themselves against the world’s best. Chloe has been in phenomenal form all year, and it’s exciting to see some fresh faces like Cora making her debut at this level. The energy and momentum within the team is really positive right now.”
The Kitakyushu World Cup promises to be another thrilling showcase of world-class street skating as athletes continue their push toward the top of the World Skateboarding Rankings.
