Australia names strong skateboarding team for World Skate Games

Two-time Olympic Champion Keegan Palmer will headline Australia’s charge at the World Skate Games in Asunción, Paraguay.
Australia will send a talented skateboarding team to the World Skate Games, with 25 athletes selected across Park, Street and Vert disciplines.
The Australian team features a mix of Olympians, established international competitors and some of the country’s most exciting emerging talent, as the squad prepares to take on the world in October.
The World Skate Games will provide another major international opportunity for Australia’s skateboarders as the sport continues its build towards the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
The team has been selected through a combination of automatic selection via the World Skate Ranking and Skate Australia’s National Ranking Auto-Selection pathway.
Park team packed with experience
The Australian Park team features an impressive mix of Olympic and international experience, headlined by Keegan Palmer, Ruby Trew, Keefer Wilson and Phoenix Sinnerton.
They will be joined by Taj Wolfenden, Eddie Acres, Keiran Woolley, Coco Crafter, Mia Kretzer.
Park Performance Lead Shari Duffy said the team’s strong culture would be an important asset as the athletes prepare to compete on the world stage.
“Heading into the Paraguay 2026 Skateboarding World Championships, we have a really strong Australian Park team. It’s a great mix of seasoned contest skateboarders and some new faces who have been steadily pushing their way up through the rankings.
“The culture within this team has been amazing. I can’t wait to get over there, watch them do what they do best, and support them to perform at their highest level.
“This event is a big piece of the puzzle as we continue building towards LA. Australian skateboarding is in a really strong place right now, and it’s exciting to see that momentum continue.
“Having the events live streamed also means family, friends and the wider skate community back home can watch, support and be part of the journey. That makes these events even more special for our team.”
Strong Street squad ready for Paraguay
Australia’s Street team brings together a blend of international experience and emerging talent, with Rome Collyer, Tommy Fynn, Shane O’Neill, Daniel Woolley, Chloe Covell, Cora Wilton, Liv Lovelace, Felicity Turner and Ella Ledingham all selected.
Covell has been establishing herself as one of the premier street competitors globally, picking up big wins in the XGames and gold at the WST World Cup in Rome in recent months.
Street Performance Lead Kat Williams said the combination of experience and emerging talent made for an exciting team heading into Paraguay.

Australian Vert team confirmed
Australia will also be represented in Vert, with Coco Rackley, Summer Rackley, Hudson Walker, Mia Kretzer, Jada Ward, Louie Daiguchi and Taj Wolfenden selected.
The inclusion of athletes across all three disciplines is another sign of the depth within Australian skateboarding, with athletes continuing to develop and compete on the international stage ahead of LA 2028.
