Chloe Covell wins silver at World Skate Games

Australian Chloe Covell has won silver at the women’s skateboard street final at the 2026 World Skate Games in Paraguay.
Covell narrowly missed the world championship title, finishing on 167.97, just behind Japan's Yukema Oda who took gold with 170.94.
Covell was in the box seat to take out the world championship with a massive 89.74 second run to lead the elite field into the best trick phase, but Japan’s Oda landed a massive 88.73 on her first trick to claim a narrow victory.
The performance adds to a remarkable 2026 campaign for Covell, who has continued to establish herself among the world’s leading street skateboarders, highlighted by victory at WST Rome and a string of impressive performances across international competition and also Australia's National Championship.

The World Skate Games silver provides another significant milestone in Covell’s progression towards the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where she will be aiming to turn her international success into an Olympic medal.
Her performance in Paraguay also capped a strong showing from the Australian women, with Cora Wilton making the final and Flic Turner and Liv Lovelace making the semi-finals.
