Expressions of Interest open for World Skate Level 01 Judge Certification Program

Are you ready to take your skateboarding knowledge to the next level?
Skate Australia is seeking expressions of interest for World Skate’s Level 01 Judging Certification Program and we’re looking for individuals with the right mix of experience, passion and commitment to the sport.
How to Apply
To be eligible for the WSK JCP Level 01 online certification, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be an active or former skateboarder (with previous competitive experience preferred)
Aged between 18 and 40 years old
Have judging experience at national-level events or national championships for at least 2 years
Possess a good level of communication in English
Be free from any conflicts of interest and align with the WSK Code of Conduct for Skateboard Judges
How to Prepare for the Test
To set yourself up for success in both the theoretical and practical components of the certification, we recommend the following:
Study the latest WSK Competition Rules and Judging Criteria
Download via World Skate
Watch key educational content on the WSK Judging Education YouTube channel, especially:
Event Performance Ledgers
Event Judging Recap Videos
Practice note-taking using past skateboarding event footage to sharpen your pacing, accuracy, and legibility

If you’re passionate about the sport, know your stuff, and ready to judge with integrity, we’d love to hear from you.
All judges will need to align with the World Skate Code of Conduct and be free from any conflicts of interest.
