Australia Names Exciting Speed Skate Team for World Skate Games

Australia has unveiled an exciting six-athlete speed skating squad set to represent the green and gold at the World Skate Games in Paraguay, featuring a blend of emerging talent and experienced competitors.
The team includes Asha Hickford, Lahna Meadows, Tom Burgdorf, Harry Geary, Dyllon Knight and Camilo Montoya Giraldo, with athletes selected across a range of sprint and endurance disciplines.
The announcement highlights the continued growth of Australian speed skating, with several athletes earning selection following strong domestic performances and consistent development on the international circuit.
Hickford and Meadows headline the women’s contingent after continuing to impress through recent national competitions, while Geary returns to the Australian team setup looking to build on previous world championship experience.
Burgdorf, Knight and Montoya Giraldo round out the squad, bringing a mix of speed, technical ability and race experience as Australia prepares for a busy international season.
