Skate Australia is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals from across the country to join the Inline Hockey National Technical Committee.
This is your chance to directly influence the development, governance, and progress of Inline Hockey nationally and internationally.
About the Committee
The Inline Hockey National Technical Committee is a vital advisory group that supports Skate Australia by:
Advocating for the needs of the Inline Hockey community
Supporting planning and delivery of the national Inline Hockey calendar
Contributing to participation growth, education, and facility development
Guiding governance and alignment with international rules and regulations
Advising on competition pathways and national team selection
Supporting national team operations, policies, and staff appointments
Promoting the sport through media and communications
Ensuring athlete voices are heard through a dedicated Athlete Representative role
Who We’re Looking For
We want a diverse and capable committee that reflects all aspects of the Inline Hockey ecosystem. If you’re based anywhere in Australia and have experience, skills, or passion for the sport, we encourage you to apply.
Ideal candidates may include:
Players (grassroots to elite, current or former)
Coaches
Referees
Club administrators
Athlete representatives (must have represented Australia within past 3 years)
Advocates for inclusion, diversity, and regional participation
Individuals with governance, legal, financial, or media experience relevant to sport

Committee Expectations
Members are expected to:
Attend at least six meetings per year (virtual or in-person)
Provide input based on their knowledge and lived experience in Inline Hockey
Actively contribute to planning, calendar development, and sport growth initiatives
Represent their communities while aligning with Skate Australia’s values and strategic plan
Comply with SkateAus policies (e.g. ethics, conflict of interest, privacy)
Complete the free ASC Director Education Course upon appointment
Please Note: Terms are typically 3 years, with a maximum of 9 years total.
