Skate Australia is seeking expressions of interest for Volunteer Skateboarding Selector Positions for the LA2028 Olympic cycle to support selection processes for World Skate events (and other selection opportunities where relevant).
Selectors will be appointed to a pool of selectors that will support specific events/selection opportunities based on availability and competition specific considerations. Selectors will be supported by a Chair of Selectors who will oversee selection processes ensuring policies and criteria are strictly followed.
Selectors need to have a high level of knowledge and technical experience (coaching, judges or athlete) in either Park or Street disciplines.
Selectors will be required to review data and information provided through athlete nomination processes and the Skateboarding HP team including previous competition results, demonstration of technical criteria and current form and fitness.
Selectors will be subject to Skate Australia policies and requirements, including obtaining relevant checks, completing integrity requirements and through confidentiality agreements relating to selection processes. Conflicts of interest are taken seriously, and managed appropriately, but current coaches of either categorised athletes, or athletes who would be seeking future selection to Australian Teams, will not be eligible to be appointed to the pool of selectors.
How to Apply
Skate Australia will consider expressions of interest from international candidates.
Please register your interest for the Selectors Pool or Judge development opportunities through our online form here.
Expressions Of Interest close at 11:59PM, Tuesday 29 July 2025
Please note the pool of selectors will be responsible for national team selection, not athlete categorisation decisions. Information about athlete categorisation is available on the Skate Australia website and the LA2028 athlete categorisation policy will be released once approved by the Australian Institute of Sport.
