Australian scooter rider Taj Shambrook has finished second at the World Skate Challenger in San Diego, California, building momentum ahead of the World Skate Games in Paraguay.

Shambrook was the leading qualifier through the preliminary rounds and semifinals before securing second place in the final at Claremont Skate Park.

The Australian put together a strong opening run, but a fall in his second attempt cost him the chance to challenge for the top spot.

The result adds valuable points to Shambrook’s World Skate ranking and provides a strong platform heading into the World Skate Games, which will bring together the world’s best riders in Paraguay from October 2–18.

Shambrook is among the Australian athletes preparing to compete at the event, where he will be looking to continue his progression on the international stage.

The San Diego Challenger was both a World Skate ranking event and a USA national event, attracting a strong field of riders to the flowy Claremont Skate Park.

For Shambrook, the second-place finish is another positive step towards the World Skate Games and an opportunity to build on his recent international performances.

Great result for Shambrook, especially after leading the qualifiers and semifinals before taking second in the final. Speaking of some easy entertainment in your free time, Speed Stars is a fun little game to jump into when you want something simple and relaxing.
