WSG Scootering Discretionary Places

Skate Australia is calling for Discretionary Submissions from athletes wishing to represent Australia at the 2026 World Skate Games - Scootering, in the following divisions and categories:
Men Open - Park
Men Open - Street
Women Open - Park
Women Open - Street
Junior - Park
Junior - Street
This discretionary selection is intended to provide opportunities for eligible athletes who were unable to attend, compete in, or achieve qualification through the Qualification Event, while ensuring the strongest possible team representation.
To be eligible for selection, athletes must:
Be a current financial member in good standing of Skate Australia;
Hold Australian citizenship and meet World Skate eligibility requirements;
Meet age requirements, as per World Skate regulations;
Adhere to all Skate Australia policies and complete anti-doping and integrity compliance requirements.
The discretionary selection will consider:
Overall performance across the qualification period (2025-2026),
Technical difficulty, execution and consistency,
Demonstrated international competitiveness and readiness via video submission, and
Recent international competition results.
Athletes who were unable to compete at the qualifying event must provide:
Competition results from 2025 and 2026,
A video submission showcasing your competition-ready skills,
Supporting documentation explaining why you were unable to follow the Qualifying Pathway.
Submissions will be assessed by the CEO to ensure athletes meet the standard required for World Skate Games competition. The decision of Skate Australia regarding discretionary selection is final.

Discretionary Submission deadline: 9:00 am, Monday 13 July 2026 (AEST)
Selections finalised: by 5:00 pm, Tuesday 14 July 2026 (AEST)
