In 2024 the Inaugural World Skate Oceania Championships for Scootering will be held at Bay Skate, Napier New Zealand from 21 to 24 March 2024 (with 24 March being the reserve day in case of rain), official practice days prior to 21 March will be advised by World Skate Oceania in due course.
The event will cover the disciplines of Park & Street in the following categories:
Juniors (mixed gender)
Women
Men
AGE LIMITS
Men’s Park/Street: 14+ years old
Women’s Park/Street: 14+ years old
Juniors’ (mixed gender): 10-17 years old as at last day of competition
QUOTA PLACES
World Skate Oceania have advised that there will be an unlimited number of quota places per category for this
year’s event, for riders holding Australian citizenship who are competitive members of Skate Australia for the 2024
membership year.

To join Skate Australia for 2024, regardless of which state you live in, head over to the membership registration page at Skate Australia Direct, select Unattached instead of a club and choose the full competitive membership option.
TO REGISTER FOR THE WORLD SKATE OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Once your Skate Australia ‘Competitive Membership’ has been completed you will NEED to register for the event at the Freestyle Roller Sports NZ website. Registration is now open.
If you have already joined Melbourne Scooter Club, a Skate Australia affiliated scooter club, as a full competitive member, you DO NOT need to join Skate Australia again, you will be eligible to register at FRS the World Skate Oceania Scooter Championships.
Sport Integrity Australia eLearning courses that are required for Australian competitors to complete will be advised upon membership registration completion.
Skate Australia will use the final ranking list from the 2024 World Skate Oceania Scooter Championships to offer Australian riders National Federation quota places in World Skate Pro Tour events (to be announced in due course) as well as the World Skate Games to be held in Italy from 6to 22 September 2024.
