Australia's best roller hockey clubs are preparing to make history when they compete at the inaugural Asia-Oceania Clubs Champions Cup in Lishui, China, from August 4-11.

The landmark event, sanctioned by World Skate Asia, will bring together champion clubs from across Asia and Oceania for the first time, creating a new premier international club competition for the sport. The tournament features men's and women's competitions across Senior, Junior and Youth age divisions, providing a significant step forward for elite club roller hockey throughout the region.

Representing Australia on the international stage will be Mordialloc Roller Hockey Club, who will field a Senior Men's team, while Kwinana Roller Hockey Club Scorpions will carry Australia's hopes in the Senior Ladies division.

Both clubs earned the opportunity to compete after strong performances at the Australian Club Championships, where they established themselves among the nation's leading roller hockey programs.

For Mordialloc, one of Australia's most established roller hockey clubs, the tournament presents an opportunity to showcase Australian men's roller hockey against the best club sides from across the Asia-Oceania region.

Meanwhile, Western Australia's Kwinana Roller Hockey Club Scorpions will look to continue their success in the Senior Ladies competition as they take on the region's strongest clubs.

Unlike traditional international events contested by national teams, the Asia-Oceania Clubs Champions Cup places the spotlight on domestic champions, allowing clubs to represent their country on the continental stage.

The inaugural edition is expected to become a cornerstone of the international inline hockey calendar, strengthening competition pathways while fostering greater collaboration between Asia and Oceania.

With history waiting to be made in Lishui, Australia's representatives will be aiming to become the first clubs to etch their names into the record books and demonstrate the growing strength of Australian inline hockey.
