Skate Australia is pleased to announce the Australian Park, Street and Vert Skateboarding athletes selected for the World Skate Games to be held across Italy from 6 to 22 September 2024.
18 athletes will represent Australia in the three skateboarding disciplines including Vert, Street and Park. The skateboard athletes join 140 Australian athletes announced earlier this year across disciplines including Men’s and Women’s Inline Hockey, Roller Derby, Scootering and Rink Hockey.
Headlining the skateboarding team will be Paris 2024 Olympic Gold Medallist, Arisa Trew (Park and Vert) who will be joined by fellow Olympians Ruby Trew (Park), Keefer Wilson (Park and Vert) and Liv Lovelace (Street).
Alongside the Paris 2024 Olympians will be Aaliyah Wilson (Park and Vert), Summer Rackley (Vert), Jada Ward (Vert), Eliza Pols (Vert), Taj Wolfden (Vert), Zen Dickson (Vert), Tommy Fynn (Street), Daniel Woolley (Street), Patrick McCaughley (Street), Charlotte Heath (Park), Coco Crafter (Park), Ash Wilcomes (Park), Ethan Copeland (Park) and Phoenix Sinnerton (Park).
Skate Australia Performance Pathways Manager Luke MacDonald said, “We are thrilled to announce the selection of our Park, Street and Vert teams heading to the 2024 World Skate Games.
“Off the back of Australia’s incredible success at the Paris Olympics, we’re excited to see our athletes continue to push boundaries, especially with the inclusion of Vert in Rome this year.
“The energy and momentum are high, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve on the world stage.”
Additional teams and athletes who will represent Australia in the remaining disciplines at the World Skate Games will be announced in due course.
