Skate Australia is currently seeking applications for the Skate Australia Inline Team Manager for the 2026 World Skate Championships to be held in Paraguay and other tournaments TBD for the following teams. 

  • Senior Mens 

  • Senior Womens 

  • Junior Mens 

  • Junior Womens 

  • Under 15 

  • Under 13 

  • Under 11


Main Duties & Responsibilities

To supervise the coordination of clothing, equipment, finances, transportation and accommodation in conjunction with Skate Australia and the SA Inline Hockey NTC. 


● To coordinate all efforts to meet the needs of athletes, coaches, officials and to minimise problems before and on tour. 

● To ensure there is regular communication and updates with athletes, coaches and officials on tour. 

● Planning dates and arrangements including travel, accommodation, equipment and costs in conjunction with Skate Australia and the SA Inline Hockey NTC. 

● To liaise between the coach and the team on organisational matters. 

● To liaise with media as required throughout the tour. 

● To lead the teams and meet all protocol responsibilities while on tour. 

● Ensuring all team officials complete the current child protection requirements as stipulated in the Skate Australia Member Protection Policy. 

● Ensuring all team members and officials complete Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping eLearning in line with World Skate competition requirements. 

● To implement appropriate Health and Safety procedures and undertake regular Risk Assessment in line with Skate Australia's guidelines. 

● Team Manager must prepare and present a report summarising the outcomes of the World Skate Games Championships, including financial acquittal, to be submitted to the SA Inline Hockey NTC before 31 December 2026.

If you’re based anywhere in Australia and have experience, skills, or passion for the sport, we encourage you to apply.


Qualifications

Extensive practical experience in managing athletes or teams an international level is highly desired. 


● Hold a valid senior First Aid Certificate (Including resuscitation) 

● Completed “Play by the Rules” Child Protection and Safeguarding unit. 

● Be a current member of Skate Australia with good standing 

● Have completed the Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping Fundamentals course (formerly level 1) and Annual Update 2025 (formerly level 2). 

● Have completed the Sport Integrity Australia Competition Manipulation and Sports Betting unit. 

● Have completed the Sport Integrity Australia Ethical Decision Making unit (two courses) (May be completed within one month post-appointment). 

● Must have attended a sound knowledge of current World Skate – Inline Hockey Technical Commission Regulations. 


Essential experience must include:

● Must provide proof and/or a written reference that the applicant has fulfilled a leadership role during the past 12 months. 

● Experience in the management of a team or groups of people. 

● Have an understanding of the Rules and Regulations of operating at an International level. 

● Have demonstrated planning and organisational skills. 

● Must hold a Working with Children card or the applicants’ State equivalent. 

● Previous sports Team Manager appointment 

● Previous Management experience with a sports team 

● Experience and or qualifications in management or leadership 


Applicants must be a current financial member of Skate Australia limited as at the date applications close and at the date of the competition.

This is a volunteer role for the 2026 World Skate Inline Hockey Championships only. The cost of attending the World Skate Championships will be covered for the successful applicant via team cost share.
