World Skate Oceania Artistic Seminar and Camp helps cement the future of the sport.
Over 300 attendees from across Oceania and Asia attended the World Skate Oceania Artistic Seminar and Camp in Queensland earlier this month.
Members from Australia and New Zealand through to China, India and Japan came together to learn and improve artistic skating.
The seminar for coaches and officials covered all aspects of teaching and evaluating artistic roller skating, led by the Chair of the International Artistic Technical Committee, Nicola Genchi, with Chair of the World Skate Oceania Artistic Technical Commission, Seona Martin.
The seminar addressed 2026 rule updates and provided detailed sessions for coaches and judges in the disciplines of Free Skating, Dance, Precision, Show and Quartet.
The camp also provided more than 200 skaters of all levels the opportunity to work together with internationally renowned coaches Luis Perez (Argentina) and Janet Ruiz (Spain) as well as Australia's World Skate accredited coaches and their personal coaches.

Featuring a balanced program of both on-skate and off-skate classes, the camp was designed to complement and extend the development of participating skaters, including workshops on choreography and dance, nutrition, make-up and more.
The aim of the World Skate Oceania Artistic Seminar and Camp was to help grow Skate around the world and get everyone working together to unify the skate community.
